The problem with fast food is that most people don't even consider the healthy options at the food court or drive through. Next time you go to McDonalds try having a salad but watch the dressing. If you know that there won't be time to have a meal, then plan ahead. In the morning make a lunch or a ligh snack. Stock up on snacks like trailmix, granola bars and prewashed vegetables.
Or just order a water instead of that large Coke, even small changes can make a difference; order a yogurt or even just ask for no mayonaise on your club sandwich.
McDonalds has a Penne Pasta Salad for 266 calories, the Feta Cheese Salad for 239 calories, the Fruit Bag for 42 calories and the Strawberry Yogurt Burst at 21 calories.
Burger King has also added some healthy options to their menu: The Chicken Sandwhich for 322, Flame Drilled Chicken Salad for 140 calories and a Garden Salad for 35.
KFC has a warm chicken salad 256 calories and a corn on the cob side dish for 150 calories.
